How do you create a good first impression

How do you create a good first impression

First impression means everything, especially when you are
going for a job interview. It is all about creating and
presenting a well polished appearance. Most employers form
a first impression during the first 5 to 10 second of a
meeting. This early impression is based purely on
appearances and body language.

My personal belief is that dressing reflects the attitude ie, carried by the candidates. Eg: if a candidate is dressed casually it shows that  his approach to work is also causal and lax as compared to another candidate who is dressed well, and is often believed to the more responsible.
Some ways in which you can create a good first impression
are as follows:

1. Smile
2. Be well groomed
3. Have eye Contact
4. Minimum jewellery
5. No chewing gum
6. Be punctual
7. No offensive body odors
8. No effective dressing
9. Firm handshake
10.Conservative and professional dressing.
